October FUN!!

This Halloween we decided to dress up as a family.  Christian came up with the idea for the costumes and I loved it. Kaden was not interested in putting any other costume on so it worked out perfect. Maddox of course was down for anything as long as he was being held. Life has been stressful with that little man he has become much more needy and never wants to be put down. This year we have done two trunk or treats at our church and still have trick or treating to do. We have lots and lots of candy that will probably never get eaten. Even though our house is filled with too much candy I have to say this festive holiday is much more fun with kids. Kaden now can speak full sentences and tells us everything about the costumes he sees and what is scaring him. He loved the idea of going to trunks and having people giving him candy that I don't think he will have a problem going to doors to ask for candy. This year we also started the tradition of carving pumpkins with Kaden. When we bought the pumpkins we was so excited to take them home. Christian showed him what was inside when we carved them and he wanted nothing to do with it. He said it was YUCKY! Once it was all carved and we put a candle in it he LOVED it again. That very night he even prayed for his pumpkins. Ohhhhh the ups and downs of a two year old. This month we also took the boys to the pumpkin patch and took some pictures. We got to there pretty late so the pictures came out a little dark but they look so cute it makes up for it. Kaden has become such a pro at taking pictures and was telling Maddox say "cheese"!!!! I love that he tries to teach his little brother new things every day. Lastly I turned the big 25 this month. We celebrated with dinner out with the boys and movie after they went to bed. Life has come at me so fast the last couple years and I love that it has. Christian and I have been married and brought to precious babies into our lives in a matter of two and a half years. I couldn't see my life any other way. I can say I am shocked to think I am  ONLY 25. I remember growing up thinking I would probably start having kids about this age and I laugh to think about that. I always knew my calling in life was to be a mom, caregiver, wife. Life could not be any better then having holidays and birthday to share with my children and husband.

Brotherly LOVE!!!

Kaden and Maddox are beginning to form such a wonderful bond. Having two boys is a challenge but I wouldnt have it any other way. The more Maddox grows the more he loves watching Kaden play. He could be anywhere in the room and always looks for his older brother and wants to be able to see what he is up to. Kaden is always worried about Maddox and talks to him all the time. He loves to reassure his little bro when he is sad, and tries to calm him down in anyway that he can. Im so excited to see these boys grow up together. Playing sports with one another is something that I think Christian and I are really excited about. Cant wait to see my boys on the field or the court in their cute little uniforms. I know that they are going to be very competitive but, hopefully they will be very supportive of one another.   Although it is tough now with the age difference being so close I am glad we had our boys the way we did. I can only imagine the trouble these boys are going to get into however the stories that will come out of it will be priceless.

Kaden turns 2

I cant believe how fast two years has gone. We had a pool birthday party that had the theme of Thomas the tank engine.  Friends and family came to help celebrate his special day. He was so excited as soon as he woke up the day of his party. We had Thomas cupcakes, Pizza, and a Thomas pinata.Christian and I decided to get him one big gift and it was a huge hit. I looked for months before he turned two for something that he would love and what would be better then a train table. He plays with it everyday and has found other ways of using it.

I am so grateful that I have been blessed to be Kadens mom. I always knew I wanted to be a mom but I never knew how rewarding it would be.  Kaden is such a bright, smart, loving, kind little boy that gets attention just about everywhere we go. His personality is like a firecracker and full of laughter. Some of the things Kaden loves at the age of two are. Playing with trains and cars. reading books with mommy, coloring, playing outside, tennis shoes, building towers and knocking them over, vacuuming, chasing our dog Remy around the house, talking on the phone, Elmo, Thomas, Mario, his blankie with the tag, rootbeer, getting out of the house aka TARGET. I could go on forever and ever and Im glad I can.

Maddox Bryce Teachout

Maddox was born on June 20 2011. I was scared, excited, and happy that my family was growing. Kaden had no clue that he was about to have his life flipped upside down. Going from having one child to two was something that I was extremely stressed out about. I didn't know if it was possible to love another little baby was much as I loved Kaden.Weeks before Maddox was born Kaden began to hit and be aggressive towards me. My mom said that he could sense something was about to happen. The day I went into the hospital was super emotional for me. It was Fathers day and Sunday the worst day for Kaden at the time because he hated church. The morning started out with crying and tantrums because Sunday clothes were out and Kaden was not having it. Once we finally made it to church he was ok but, unfortunately the drive home was unpleasant.  Screaming and crying like nothing we had ever seen. Kaden smacked my face, pulled my hair all while I was trying to calm him down. Being pregnant and about to POP at any minute I had NO patience. I gave him a pat on the face at the last resort to stop the tantrum. I felt horriable, mad, sad, disappointed. I always said I would never resort to that but NEVER say NEVER! Christian was just as close to doing the same thing however I actually did it. I think we were both shocked. Once we got home he ate lunch, took and nap was in a better mood. 4pm came and I started having contractions. They were strong and consistent. At first I was excited but then I began to panic. I had a bad situation with Kaden that day and now I was going to have a baby and make things worse for him. None the less I was off to the hospital. I was finally admitted at 8pm with contractions 2 min apart. We waited until 12:45 to get drugs and my water broken due to three emergency c secs. I fell asleep as my mom, Christian and my friend Angela all ate tacos right in front of me. About 5am Christian woke me and said he didn't hear the baby heart monitor anymore. I informed him it was ok they just silenced it once everyone was sleeping. I thought it was so cute to see him so concerned. The nurse came in shortly after that and asked if I felt pressure. Sure enough I did and I was ready to push. Maddox was out twenty minutes after the nurse came in. It was such a fast and easy delivery. 6lbs 10oz and 19in. His sweet spirit and personality is amazing. Kaden came to visit in the hospital and wasn't very interested but he was very happy about his present his baby bro got him.

So now that Maddox has been home it has been wonderful. It was an adjustment from one to two but I wouldn't have it any other way. Kaden took a while letting other people like my mom and christian get him things. He wanted mommy to get everything and anything for him. Maddox loves having a big bro to watch and keep him entertained. Kaden loves helping give Maddox his binkie and talking to him when he is upset. Maddox is very needy much like his brother. He is very loud and expressive and a perfect fit in our family. I am so grateful for my two beautiful boys and handsome husband.
